Bartenders at Local Ocean are adept in the knowledge, preparation, and serving of fine beverages. They have a deep interest in spirits, wine, beer, and Northwest seafood and love to share that interest with their guests. They are adept in many facets of the busy dining room – from prepping to entertaining and caring for the many regulars who dine in the Local O Lounge; to being a pro at fulfilling craft cocktail orders in an upscale and fast-paced environment.

Job Essential Functions
Prepare syrups, tinctures, fresh-squeezed juices, and various dehydrated and fresh garnishes daily for the bar.
Make beverage orders.
Communicate orders with service staff.
Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control polices.
Help guests select food and beverages by presenting menus, suggesting courses, explaining daily specials, identifying appropriate wine and beverage pairings, as well as answering food preparation questions.
2 years bartending experience (preferably in a fine-dining or craft cocktail environment).
Excellent communication skills.
Positive interpersonal skills.
Basic cash handling skills and ability to use a touch sensitive POS system and iPad.
Properly open and pour wine at the table side.
Able to take direction and work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, dependable, and predictable attendance.
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and customers.
Ability to quickly learn new processes and techniques, work efficiently and safely.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently and take initiative as needed.
Able to carry up to 50 lbs
Current Food Handler’s card and OLCC permit

We are looking for both part-time and full-time, seasonal and all year-round positions.
Pay range: starting $22/hr plus tip share
